ANXIETY AS PREPARATIONS RICOCHET
Having been selected to represent their schools in the oncoming Regional Karate competitions, the various participants have had to do a lot more practice bearing the tough competitions.
First, the Karate Club (Moi University’s), had to plan so they would have a series of friendlies their counterparts and the other participants in the Karate competitions.
According to the club’s leaders Peter Zuma and Margaret Olonyo, the preparations for the friendlies have however been tough considering the fact that there needs to be some budgeting done by the hosts in an event they want tot host any of the teams willing to participate the friendlies with them.
But even with the financial hardships, The Moi University team has had a friendly against the team from the University of Nairobi. This however did not go the team’s side as the final friendly results only saw the team win only two out of the total four bouts.
Peter, though is optimistic that the final competition which will be held at the United States International University will have had them prepared enough.
