MOI UNIVERSITY'S GLORY



With anxiety having kicked in and out of the participants that is before and after the Kenya Open. One thing still remains clear and outstanding! They all gave it their best shot. Whether half-backed or fully prepared the participants all gave gave their best owing to the fact that Moi university overall (with satellites) clinched position two out of a total of twenty universities (and colleges) that were in the competition.
Speaking after the event, Margret (the cheerleader for team Moi) said that they had a total of 14 medals that made them four trophies less than the winners Kenyatta university. Among the trophies were five gold medals, six silver and three bronze, lacking one gold medal, a silver and and two bronze medals compared to the winners.
The Moi team was awarded a 1st runners up prize of a hundred thousand Kenya shillings as motivation. Margret said that they will use the money to award the participants and remaining part of the spoil will be used to perfect on more preparations.
She also thanked the school’s administration for its support toward paying the participants stay at the USIU and remained positive that they will emerge the best team come the East Africa Open.
The team is now looking forward to the upcoming East Africa Open in May.
